Student Teaching

I received my student teaching placement for the next semester; also known as MY LAST SEMESTER! It is wild to think that I am done with classes of college, have one more semester of student teaching and then GRADUATE! I can be a full time, real life, big girl, teacher. Growing up is scary!

We talk about transitions a ton in my program and in December, I will certainly have hit a big transition. Transitions tend to cause stress, anxiety, and un-ease. I'm feeling it world. I'm feeling it.

I feel as if I finally have this married college life thing down, but lo and behold, the college part will be gone in about 6 months. What next? I have had a zillion ideas circulating in my head.

1. Full Time Special Education Teacher

2.  Part Time Paraprofessional

3. Get my Masters

4. Turn to teaching voice and piano full time

5. Get speech level certified

6. Be a waitress

7. Work at a bank

8. Work at the Dollar Store (I just love them so much)

9. Get my exercise endorsement to teach Step Aerobics

10. Have a baby

Hahahahaha! Oh, who knows! But this quote gives me peace. It is a grand reminder....

"By providing daily sustenance one day at a time, Jehovah was trying to teach faith to a nation that over a period of 400 years had lost much of the faith of their fathers. He was teaching them to trust Him. In essence, the children of Israel had to walk with Him each day and trust that He would grant a sufficient amount of food for the next day on the next day and so on. In that way He could never be too far from their minds and hearts.
Once the tribes of Israel were in a position to provide for themselves, they were required to do so. Likewise, as we plead with God for our daily bread—for help in the moment that we cannot provide for ourselves—we must still be active in doing and providing that which is within our power."
-Elder D. Todd Christofferson (CES Fireside January 2011)

Day by Day. That's all we can do sometimes, right?

Let's get graduated and go from there :)

By the way, I will be student teaching at Bear River Charter School!!!! Ahhhhhh! Such a great school! I am overwhelmingly blessed!
